Recently I was tasked with writing a paper on the belief if Web 2.0 has progressed to Web 3.0. Here is my conclusion:

Well I finally joined the Mac family. I got a new MacBook couple days ago. I have been setting up all the programs that will make many tasks simpler. Such as one program to check all my email accounts, and one program to funnel all my instant messaging into one. I am pretty much finished setting up the main stuff now into personalization of favorites, quick links, and the dock.
The family trip to visit Dave was very well planned. Everything was fun and the weather didn't stop us from doing anything. I played paintball week ago as practice for this weekends paintball bash. Wish me luck, as I probably will replace my fading sunburn and bruises with new ones!

I have been entertaining myself by many methods this week. I have been getting some exercise and volleyball entertainment in class and in the gym with friends. While I havenít been on the computer as much, I have been entertaining myself with my new iPod with videos, games, and music. The last method of entertainment has been reading a new book I got at Barnes and Noble. I have been reading Eragon the first boot in the Inheritance series by author Christopher Paolini. I am excited and motivated reading it because I want to get to the second book, Eldest, because I want to know what happens. I saw the movie of the first book and have a clue where it ends. I hope everyone else is having a good time as me.

The last couple days have been quiet interesting as two gaming computer systems, consoles, have been released to the public. These new consoles uses some of the newest technology and features available for gaming. Somewhere in understanding this, people must have thought drugs, money, or free stuff came with it.
People went crazy all over the nation fighting to get these consoles. There were people shot, robbed, and carjacked to steal the console or money. Even national news hit Orlando as 3 guys purchased one of the new consoles was robbed while returning home. 3 men with guns cornered the guys before they reached their apartment.
There are some good articles I have been reading about the new PS3, and Wii consoles dramatic effect on society that even taxes would envy. There was a quote I would like to steal and live by in my own life: "Even the PS3 graphics can not match up to real life."

My new computer is up and running. It is very fast and very fun, however, I have not been playing games like you might think with that commit. I have been playing with Speech Recognition which apparently came with the on-board audio. Combined with Microsoft Office I can now sit back and talk to my computer to really "spit" out papers. Anyways Superbowl coming up, still don't know what I am doing.

I have always joked saying I would never post anything negative on my website, however this one of those situations that looks bad, but sometimes is inevitable, and has a good ending. When upgrading the RAM on my computer which was outdated in years, it decided to kill the motherboard. I checked many times and 100% sure it was the correct RAM. Anyways, I have worked with Paul shopping and ordering parts to build my own computer. This will aid in understanding my computer in much more detail than ever before, and be able to answer a question when Paul trying to help me with problem.
On another note, playoff football is closing down with a first time ever a 6th seat team has made it to the conference championship. This team we speak of is the Pittsburgh Steelers. I said before the playoffs, "If Steelers beat the Colts they win the Superbowl because they will ride that unbelievable win to the end".
Last note, I also try to keep a level of etiquette with words in my posts, however, frankly this winter weather has sucked. I am pondering wearing all my winter clothes on our constant 80 degree days just to get some enjoyment from my winter clothes.

Well it felt like being at home again, where weather causes the power to go out and then nothing else to do. However, power remained on, the internet did not. I was blessed with 4 days of no internet connection, but at least power was on. I found time to play around with my 3d animation and other programs I havenít touched in a little while. Finally the internet was restored and my computer complained about the lack of updates. I think my computer was madder about being disconnected then me.

After a couple of days of playing around with my camera, and cleaning my room, I am ready to give pictures of my new apartment. Click on the View Dan's Album link (left side of page) to view the new pictures along with the old pictures. Now that I have a digital camera I will be updating the album hopefully a lot more. Pictures will range from many other things I attend or feel is interesting enough to share with you all. Enjoy!

I am just sitting around working on my English paper due in a week or so. Also got some programming assignments I need to do. First wave of exams almost finished, still have a Computer Programming exam next week. Been having fun with my laptop, enjoying the wireless internet all over campus; I only wish our dorm had wireless. Anyways, I will be hitting all the apartments Saturday and talking to parents, then *crosses fingers* sign with an apartment on Sunday.

Wow, was just listening to music and searching web. Found out some pretty interesting stuff going on in electronics. First off, Half-Life 2 and Halo 2 have gone gold. This is a big surprised considering these games were predicted to never come out. On top of that there is a new PS2 console being released. This console is the size of two DVD cases stacked together. I saw a picture of it being compared to an Xbox controller and the controller was almost bigger! On a computer-science note, Sony also said they are working on PS3 planned for release this time next year. It will be using Blue-Ray technology. This technology says it can fit up to 64 GB of information on one disk, blowing away what a DVD can hold.
