Football BluesPosted by: Daniel on Monday, October 23, 2006 - 08:09 PM

It has been a hard year for UCF football. We are not doing well at all, but what makes this year different is that I know we could perform much better then we are. I am sad by many events in College Football, the leading teams play a much easier schedule then everyone, and Florida's one close loss might be enough to keep them away from the title so far they deserve. In Pro Football this weekend pretty much all my teams I like lost. Not the biggest fan of Tampa football, I will be happy to celebrate the Bucs dramatic win Sunday. Their win would be equally dramatic if FSU beat Miami by a last second 60 yard field goal. The Bucs won by making a last second field goal from 62 yards out, more shocking the kicker's previous long was half that distance. Anyways the weather is beautiful out in Orlando with breezy warm no humidity air. My only wish right now is that my apartment have a balcony.

The day started early, preparing our coolers as we packed the cars to leave for the parking lots at 9:30. Once on site, a lucky tree in the middle of the parking lot provided worshiped shade. We began setting up chairs, and stringing a tarp in the air for even more shade. In a short time my first year roommates joined us with their grill to make some burgers. The food was great and so was the company. After some play with football and volleyball we headed into the stadium.
The game was a very up and down game. The offence would get the ball rolling and the crowd pumped up. Then the defense would quiet us as USF was unstopped. The high point of the game came on a punt by USF. The kicker received the hike, but dropped the ball on the ground. He then picked it up and attempted a last second kick. The ball was blocked and returned for a touchdown tying the game. In the end we lost because our defense was horrible, and theirs was just good enough to slow us down sometimes. After a haircut and Monday classes, I am ready to forget the loss and look forward to our next game, Southern Miss. - - Dan Back In ActionPosted by: Daniel on Sunday, September 03, 2006 - 08:42 PM

Sorry for the lack of stories. Summer classes went very good bringing all A's on the report card. After a short break to visit the family I had missed during my busy non-summer break I have now returned to Fall classes. Seeing everyone and especially Alexa for her baptism was wonderful. I wish I had more time to spend with everyone.
Fall classes are going great right now, nothing special. College Football started, attending the game, I enjoyed the day with friends and being able to view a sport other then Baseball. I am going to a Labor Day Party tomorrow at Kelly Park part of Rock Springs in Apopka Florida. I will be enjoying the sun while tubing down the springs with friends. I hope everyone else has a good holiday weekend. I promise to update more often now that I am back in action. - - Daniel Spring Break Album CompletePosted by: Daniel on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 - 06:53 PM

Well I am happy; the playoffs have been very exciting so far. I said at the beginning of the playoffs if Steelers beat the colts they will win the Superbowl. We will have to wait a little longer to see if that is true, but we do know they beat the most predicted team to win the Superbowl.

Well, this is for all those waiting for me to post updates. The main reason I didn't feel the need to update my website was I was at home with parents for a month, and updating my website for the same stuff they update theirs seems too repetitive. So, now I am back in my apartment and ready to update my life away from home again.
All of us in the apartment having fun, we found some NERF guns that use a small amount of air pressure to shoot a foam dart at one another. Classes starting out, so far I enjoy them all. My computer science class is by the same professor I had for Java last semester and enjoyed. Well talk to you later, lots of updates from now on. Go Steelers! (they are going to have a hard game vs. Colts next week). Later - - Dan Christmas PlansPosted by: Daniel on Monday, December 19, 2005 - 02:54 AM

Sorry for lack of updates. Not much has happened, just was hanging out at home. We just got over to Paul and Gloria's house today. Mom and dad are going on their cruise tomorrow; I will be occupied with house tasks. I will update closer to Christmas when Dave arrives and the real fun begins.

I want to say thank-you to Gloria's family for the wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner. The food was excellent and the company even better. I am excited about Christmas right around the cover and hope to see everyone again soon. - - Car Stuff - -I also got to view Paul and Gloria's new SUV. It is very nice and technologically fit for someone of Paul's standard. There are many bells and whistles yet to be showcased for me, but I will allow time for this on our return trip for Christmas :-P My car also got a needed tune up. New air filter in place, and with new oil in circulation the engine is running smooth. Also we had time to use compressed air to clean out the tubes that spray washer fluid on windshield so they work again! Last the car was hand washed and shined brighter then the sun. Football and TicketsWell everyone is excited about the big game this weekend. As of Friday close to 29000 tickets were sold, which makes a UCF record ticket sales sold week before a game. Tickets range from students to even NASA as they said they have purchased 600 tickets for themselves. On a similar note, I was quoted in the University paper, Central Florida Future, about the topic of ticket sales for the big game. I talk about all the chaos during the transaction. Here is a link to www.UCFnews.com and the story. - - Daniel Brother in the House!Posted by: Daniel on Monday, October 03, 2005 - 02:14 AM

Well I was paid a wonderful visit from Dave. We did the whole Halloween Horror Nights deal at Universal again. It was much better this time all around except for the whole getting rained on for 5 minutes thing. I was very glad Dave was able to visit me in Orlando and check out my new apartment. I was sad to see my brother leave, but happy to know I get to see him again during the weekend of November 4th. Well I have lots of work to do so that is it for now, see ya.
